From sky down imagine an island amidst the Mediterranean, now come a little bit closer to the centre. View from above a small white house surrounded by green: fruit trees, olive trees, almonds, figs and carobs. Can you see it?
Come a little closer and discover that together with the white and the green tones a deep blue stands out, mesmerizing in its strength. It seems as though a a piece of heaven has fallen just next to the house.
But it is not heaven, nor sea, nor clouds… it is the rest area of Vinya den Palerm rural hotel, where time stands still and peace and quiet wraps everything up.
Taking a dip in the pool during the summer days is pure pleasure and spending minutes under the water is like a way of meditation for me, like somehow returning to my mother’s womb.
And when fingers begin to wrinkle it is the perfect time to relax in a hammock or in one of the Balinese beds around the pool.
That small blue speckle in the middle of this island surrounded by blue sea is definitely my favourite place in the world. Paradise is much closer than people may think.
Now close your eyes and imagine yourself enjoying a few minutes of my little paradise in the countryside of San Miguel.
