When the first rays of light peek through the window of Vinya d’en Palerm agrotourism, I start to wake up. First my toes change temperature, then my eyelids open up and I just can’t close them again. Another winter day is starting and I have to make the most of it.
After an invigorating shower I put on a warm fairy dress and go out to receive the first rays of sun, they may not be the warmest but they certainly are the most beautiful.
The morning light of Ibiza is different from other places, it tints the countryside, the sea, the houses, the mountains and trees in pinks, purples and oranges. It merges with the mist and the morning dew and makes you feel lucky to live these fleeting moments in paradise.
So, like a super-charged video game character, I start to collect the fruits that nature offers to make myself a delicious breakfast. I really can’t ask for anything more to start this February day in Ibiza.
It’s chilly but there’s no wind, so the sun does its heating job and with a scarf around my neck the morning is perfect to go for a walk and discover new trails. I’m not afraid of getting lost on the road, because as a fairy I have a seventh sense: Feet together, a few taps with the heels and I go straight back home. It’s one of the advantages of being a pixie, especially when I go to one of those fairy parties that end at 8 am.

I love walking, I take in every detail, every root and every plant, how the small animals also begin their day, how the farmers are already in the field, and some flowers that have not yet awakened and their petals are still not wide open.
And when I’ve studied every angle and every movement, every colour and every form … that’s when I take flight to see everything from another perspective. That’s when everything changes, it becomes smaller and insignificant, and the view of every detail together … it’s a difficult feeling to explain.
In a magical way, everything is connected and everything makes sense. The swaying of the farmer while he works the land, a rabbit looking for breakfast and the flowers of the almond trees all move at the same pace. And me, flying above everything, every moment and every movement.
Right now, I like to imagine that instead of flying I’m swimming, that I’m a giant whale feeding on these moments as if they were plankton. As you can see my imagination has no limits, after all I’m magical so what can you expect?
I spend the rest of the day walking, flying, dreaming, looking, imagining … when I get hungry I look for food, and when I’m tired I lie on the grass watching the clouds.
And that’s what I do until the sun goes down and then back to the agrotourism to rest, and I close my eyes remembering all those moments until the first rays of light peek through my window again.
