Under an apple tree, Ibiza, February 25th , 2015
Sitting on a small stone against the trunk of an apple tree I calmly contemplate all the beauty surrounding the rural hotel. The sunbeams light up and nurture the surrounding land and the first asparagus are beginning to appear.
Here, in Ibiza, after the flowering almond trees, spring starts to be felt, smelt and appreciated; the colder months have past and on some days we can even leave our coats at home.
For the Vinya den Palerm team all this means one thing: We start preparing for a new season in Ibiza. With Easter new guests will arrive, regular guests, already part of the family, will come back and we will have to surprise them, as every year, in a different way.
There is much work ahead, but that doesn’t frighten us because this season Vinya den Palerm will be more beautiful than ever, the pool area even more comfortable and with more amenities, the trees taller and greener, the fruits with more flavour and even the sheep with more wool.
There is only one thing that never changes in this rural accommodation: The smile of those who work or live here is still just as wide and sincere as ever.
As the sun gilds my face I smile imagining all the adventures we will share this 2015 season in Ibiza.
