Dear Diary,
January and February are back again to make me fall even more in love with the island of Ibiza. This is, for many, the most awaited season, due to the magical landscapes of green and red highlighted by the white of the almond-trees in bloom.
The most beautiful place to enjoy the almond trees is Santa Inés, and, without doubt, the best day to make an unforgettable trip to its valley full of thousands and thousands of almond-trees blooming with white petals, is the night of the full moon.
To walk through this valley is like seeing a field covered in snow as far as your sight can take you, a preview of spring and a treat for the eyes from these trees so abundant in Ibiza, so tasty and colourful.
We also have almond-trees near Vinya den Palerm, though not to the extent as in Santa Inés. I’ll be back again this year, because last year I just couldn’t keep my mouth shut for a single moment, so I think I’ll hide in the backpack of Neus again and enjoy it as much as I can.
Sometimes I think she sees me and knows who I am, but says nothing to keep the secret and so that no one gets disturbed. What do you think?
