The beautiful flowers of Ibiza

The beauty of Ibiza in the Spring never ceases to amaze me!Jardin 5
Fields full of flowers colour the island with yellows, reds, violets, greens, pinks, oranges and so many other colours.

Only those who really know how to look around attentively can discover the thousands of small treasures that nature gives us at every step in this beautiful island.

Do you know which are the most common flowers in Ibiza?

Rosemary flowers, tiny and blue ; the beautiful and delicate pink flower of the rock rose; lavender with its colourful purple flowers; wild fennel and its small yellow blooms. And the stunning bougainvillea dressing the porches and walls of many houses.

From late January to early March, the perfect and ephemeral beauty of the almond blossoms are one of the biggest attractions of the island.

You can also find thyme, broom, hassock, beautiful gladiolus and even wild orchids while walking through the woods.

I am learning to recognise them because, beyond their beauty, some of them have medicinal and aromatic properties as well.

Ibiza showers us with gifts at every turn, we just have to learn to see them and, especially, to take care of her and to educate those that don’t know the importance of treating the island with tender, loving care so that she continues to give us so many natural, healthy and beautiful things.
