Off to Cala Aubarca!

Hello!
I was dying to tell you what I did last weekend.

Since it was a bank holiday one of my fairy cousins that lives in the south of the island came to visit the agrotourism. I’m so happy here that I’ve decided that if they want to see me they can come home but I’m not going anywhere. Well, I do, occasionally, like what I’m just about to tell you.

Since I hadn’t seen my cousin for, literally, centuries, I decided to take her to a place that is sacred to me, Cala Aubarca.

Cala d’Albarca or d’Albarcar, as it is also called, is a paradise disguised as a cove located in the north of Ibiza.
It is very close to the village of San Mateo D’Aubarca and it belongs to an area called Es Amunts. This area is so beautiful it has been declared a Natural Area of Special Interest. Doesn’t it sound great?

Travel guide books say that there are no signs around the creek of human intervention, that’s why I feel so comfortable there, united with nature.

The cove is located between cliffs and to reach it you have to walk down a winding path full of rocks and traps that nature itself sets up for protection.

As nature is wise, you have once reached the creek, it offers you the best of herself non-stop, as a way of compensating that walk down the mountain.

A real work of natural engineering.

Having made the customary photos, it is time to enjoy the cove and its waters that range from emerald green to intense blue.

And speaking of water … I just remembered something. As you know, I love to share with you a few secrets about the places I visit. So I couldn’t not do so now with Cala Aubarca.

I found that in a hidden place in the cove there is… a natural fountain of fresh sweet water! Yes, yes, fairy word!

I was flying over the shore of the cove when something caught my eye. As I approached the stones, I saw how water flowed from the rocks. Pure fresh sweet water! Here is my friend nature again with her gifts.

I’m sharing with you this picture of where the spring is located. Now it’s your turn to go there and find it. Good luck!

Ok friends, that was my latest adventure. I hope you’ve enjoyed it and that you’re excited to do the same. I will continue with my adventures, and, best of all, sharing them with you (almost) every week.

See you in the next post! Much love and health for all. Signed: Elvah.
